50km south of Auckland city is the township Pukekohe, famed for its fertile soil.  The Fresh Grower has been farming here since 1956.

We take niche or exotic products like baby cos lettuce, fancy lettuce and baby spinach, and make them readily accessible mainstream lines to everyday people.

Up at 5am to tend to his crops, Allan says the family business provides an ever-winning range of fresh, healthy, versatile products that fit the current generation’s lifestyles.

In 2016, Allan won a prestigious Australasian award acknowledging him as an outstanding leader and innovator across productivity, sustainability and his contribution to the community and people.

The Future

The company is family run with Allan's youngest brother Colin and his three sons Daniel, Cameron and Matthew.  The Fresh Grower is now forging ahead on innovation, sustainability and the next generation.
