Are you an experienced Finance Manager?

You will work closely with the General Manager and Board of Directors and have significant input into developing and evolving the company’s strategic plan, which the GM and Finance Manager will be responsible for executing.

The Finance Manager will play an active role in shaping and delivering organisational direction, cohesion, and a positive working culture.

The role:

  • Responsible for managing and developing the company’s finance and administration functions, and drive continuous development and operational excellence.
  • Provide insightful and effective monthly reporting for the GM and Board, including analysis of actuals vs forecast sales, pricing, margins and costs, as well as performance against budgets and forecasts, and other key metrics.
  • Preparation of annual budget by cost centre and forecasting throughout the year.
  • Ensure development and use of efficient and cost-effective accounting, analysis and administration systems and processes throughout the business, to assist in business decision making.
  • Contribution as a member of the leadership team alongside the GM, to develop and deliver the strategic business plan and build operational excellence.
  • Continuous improvement of the business structure and systems.
  • Manage human resources, including, recruitment, contracts, retention and development of staff, in line with company values.
  • Manage and build successful strategic relationships with key advisors,
  • Management of administration team
  • (6 direct reports),
  • Preparation of month-end journals
  • Assist with preparation of half-year and year-end financial statements
  • Assist with consolidation and completion of monthly management reports to deadlines
  • Completion and reconciliation of GST, FBT, RWT and NRWT Returns
  • Weekly sales reporting


Attributes and Experience 

  • Proven finance, accounting management and leadership abilities with a track record or successfully establishing and managing finance and administration functions.
  • Strong management accounting and analysis skills with ability to proactively identify business drivers and trends, using this information to support and underpin sound business decision making.
  • Strong communication, presentation, reporting, systems and process development skills
  • Exposure to and/or understanding of export led international product business
  • Ability to develop and maintain budgets, forecasts and rolling cash flow projections
  • Experience reporting to Board of Directors, including board pack collation and minutes
  • Experience with Xero and advance excel and advantage
  • Enthusiastic and Good team player a must
  • Excellent Communication
