We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time permanent position reporting directly to the Directors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing, leading, and training all teams to achieve top-tier results
• Strong knowledge of kiwifruit husbandry and orchard management
• Ensuring work timeliness and quality is to the highest standard
• Plan and manage weekly and daily workload
• Ensure Supervisors/Orchard Managers are meeting their seasonal KPI targets
• Management and oversight of all works and documentation required for managed orchards, including GAP & GRASP requirements.
• Ensuring Health & Safety regulations are adhered to and implemented
• Resolving issues with growers and within your team to achieve a positive outcome
• Achieving crop production targets as set out by growers and management
• Managing administration and record keeping

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• At least 5 years’ experience in the kiwifruit industry, with proven orchard management expertise.
• Proven existing networks and solid relationships in the industry
• Level 5 Diploma of Horticulture qualification or similar
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills
• Excellent planning and time management skills
• Ability to communicate effectively to a multi-cultural team, growers, and other supervisors/management
• NZ Driver’s Licence and reliable transport
• NZ citizen or permanent resident
