Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time permanent position reporting directly to the Directors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing, leading, and training all teams to achieve top-tier results
- Strong knowledge of kiwifruit husbandry and orchard management
- Ensuring work timeliness and quality is to the highest standard
- Plan and manage weekly and daily workload
- Ensure Supervisors/Orchard Managers are meeting their seasonal KPI targets
- Management and oversight of all works and documentation required for managed orchards, including GAP & GRASP requirements.
- Ensuring Health & Safety regulations are adhered to and implemented
- Resolving issues with growers and within your team to achieve a positive outcome
- Achieving crop production targets as set out by growers and management
- Managing administration and record keeping
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- At least 5 years’ experience in the kiwifruit industry, with proven orchard management expertise.
- Proven existing networks and solid relationships in the industry
- Level 5 Diploma of Horticulture qualification or similar
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills
- Excellent planning and time management skills
- Ability to communicate effectively to a multi-cultural team, growers, and other supervisors/management
- NZ Driver’s Licence and reliable transport
- NZ citizen or permanent resident
